TEESMUSIC  -  Swaledale Festival

The Swaledale Festival has been operating annually for over 30 years, providing high-quality music and arts in the northern Yorkshire Dales of Wensleydale and Swaledale, with more recent forays into Teesdale.  The music is small-scale classical material for the most part, with a strong emphasis on chamber ensembles and on new commissions.  Jazz, folk and brass band music also feature.  Concerts are performed in a wide range of venues - churches, village halls, castles, open fields...   The Festival takes place over two weeks in late May/early June.

The Festival is not a membership organisation, but many of our regulars join the Festival Friends; membership of the Friends entitles them to priority booking before the tickets go on public sale.

The next Festival dates are Sat 26 May to Sat 9 June 2017

Highlights include:
Apollo Saxophone Quartet
Brighouse & Raistrick Band
