Text Box: TEESMUSIC – Richmondshire Choral Society

Activities

Richmondshire Choral Society is an amateur society with about 60-70 members.  The society gives two concerts a year, one usually on the Saturday before Christmas of which the first half is a performance of one or more seasonal choral works and the second half is carols and Christmas music with some audience participation; the other concert is in April and usually is a substantial choral work with professional soloists and approximately every four years with orchestra.  Occasionally the choir joins with Darlington Choral Society to perform a work that needs the resources of a large chorus.

Membership

There is normally no audition for new members (at the Music Director’s discretion).  Rehearsals take place on Monday evenings from 7.30 pm to 9.30 pm in Richmond Methodist Church Rooms.
