Activities
 

The CCO has about 35-40 playing members, and typically gives 3-4 concerts a year between September and June.  We aim for a high playing standard, and frequently include 20th century works in our programmes.  The CCO regularly performs at charity concerts, and has also undertaken occasional foreign concert tours.

Rehearsals are held in the 2-3 weeks immediately prior to each concert.  Membership is by invitation – please contact the Director Tim Jackson on 01748-821343  or at  tim@timpjackson.plus.com

An afternoon concert perfect for a family outing. Children will be able to mingle with the players during the concert and there will be a Q&A session when you can ask any member of the orchestra a question.

 

Tickets £8, £7 concessions, £2 under-18

Family ticket £16 for 2 adults and up to 3 under-18s.

A programme showing 100 years in the development of the symphony by three great innovators: Bach’s groundbreaking experiments with instrumental ensemble, through Haydn, the father of the symphony, to the mature classical 8th symphony of Beethoven.

 

This concert is promoted by Richmondshire Subscription Concerts 

Tickets are £10 for adults and £1 for students/children.

Please note a CCO season ticket is not valid for entry to this concert.

Audiences at our concerts this year will be asked to vote for their favourite pieces from our repertoire. We are going to play excerpts from about ten of your all-time favourites. We’ll let you know how the voting is going after each concert, so watch this space.
